Henry

Oh where to being with thoughts about Tim's beloved Grandpa Henry. From the first time I met Henry he was a character, never a dull moment with him.  He thought since he reached a certain age he could say whatever he wanted and he did. Whether it was giving us advice on what to do with our lives or just telling us a funny story, he always kept us entertained. What I loved about Henry was he was so loving, even if he happened to say something harsh. You knew he loved you and wanted you to be the best you could be. Henry always made a point of asking how my parents were doing. After my Mom passed away Henry would always ask how my Dad was and he was genuinely concerned. He didn't ask the question because it was the polite thing to do, he asked it because he cared and I loved him for it.
Henry had a rough 2015 and in the later part of the year was bedridden due to severe back pain and poor circulation in his legs. He definitely didn't like being bedridden, but I think he did like being waited on 24 hrs. a day. Sadly, Henry passed away suddenly on New Year's Eve, he had just turned 91 years old earlier in the month. The paramedics were able to revive him and take him to the hospital, but he never regained consciousness and was taken off life support two days later.
Henry was a big part of Tim's life growing up and continued to be a big part of our life. He loved Trent and was so happy when we had Terra. Before we had Terra he was always asking us when we were having another child. In his opinion, we needed to have lots of kids.
Enjoying time with family, it's what Henry liked to do best.
