Will This Be a Sign for the Future...

Terra wasted no time getting on Grandpa's Harley. Tim said she walked right to it and wanted to get on. She grabbed the handle and made her vroom vroom noises, too funny! I am sure Grandma was looking down from heaven smiling at this.
 Love her little smile.
Just chillin'

A little more fun before 5th grade starts

Summer is winding down, but we are still getting to do a few fun things. Jump n' Jammin' is always a good place to go for some fun. Terra had no interest in the toddler area and wanted to play with the big kids. She can hold her own that's for sure.
 Terra and Jake playing.
 3 nutballs!
Trent and Karina exploring the aquarium.
The crazy Larikeets.
 They really liked Karina.
Trent just chillin' while the Larikeet eats the nectar.
Trent didn't mind the Larikeet eating, but not crawling up his arm.

10 Years Old!!

My baby boy turned 10 years old, how did this happen so quick? I keep telling Trent that he will always be my baby boy, even when he is goes to college, even when he gets married and even when he has children of his own...he just looks at me and smiles his cute smile. I love him so.
I am sure I will say this every year, but I really feel that it was just the other day that I was holding him in my arms. In the past 10 years, he has grown into such a sweet boy. I could not ask for a better son. Don't get me wrong he has his moments, but thankfully they are few and far between. He is a talker like his Dad and that can wear on me, but at the end of the day I love hearing his voice and the odd and random things that he comes up with.
One of my favorite pictures. I love his smile.
He loves his Davy Crocket hat.
Of course he hikes with a pop gun.
My boys!
Big muscles!
Love him!
 Fencing in France.
 Swimming in the Mediterranean Sea.
No caption needed...just awesome!
 My big boy is 10!
We moved to the shade because of Trent's sensitive eyes (ha ha).
Handsome guys!
He loves doing a silly pose.
 10!!!
 And then there's this one...
 Birthday boy!
Everyone eating up and playing games.
Happy 10th Birthday!
Trent has been wanting a marble run kit and he finally got it. He has been taking videos of the different runs he creates. Love it!
Another must have for his birthday. We sure weren't going to buy it for him, so thankfully he received some Target gift cards to purchase this Robo Dino who Trent has named Rex.
Rex in action.
Every morning I wake up and I can't wait to see my boy. He wakes up happy on most days and I hope that continues through out his life. He loves life and that is a quality that is so important to get through the trials and tribulations of life. I look forward to watching Trent grow into a teenager...I think (Thankfully, I have a few more years). I am positive we will have our battles, but I know at the end of the day I can look at Trent and tell him I love him and I hope he smiles back and tells me the same.

My loves

Tim asked me last night if I thought Trent was having a good summer and I said, I hope so. We haven't done a whole lot, but I think he has enjoyed his chillin' as he calls it.  He went to summer camp at school for 3 weeks in the morning and he liked going and seeing his friends. He painted a cool skateboard deck one week and made a rocket during another week. Most afternoons he had swim practice, but for the last 3 weeks the swim team is on break. I try to plan a little outing each day, which sometimes is just errands (which he just loves, not). Cindy has been really great about doing things in the evenings with Trent, even if it is just playing Monopoly at her house for an hour. He has 2 more weeks until 5th grade starts and I hope to soak up every last minute with him. We might even make it to Chuck E Cheese, which will just make his day.
 Enjoying his orange soda.
Trent riding his skateboard for the first time.
Just being silly with these two cuties.

20 Year High School Reunion

The long anticipated evening finally arrived. The date had been set for 8 months and a lot of planning went into the event. At the beginning there was a "committee" but towards the end there were only a few of us that were actually doing the behind the scenes work...a pat on the back for me, Emily and Amy. It came down to the wire, but it all came together and it was a great event. Everyone seemed to have a great time and was so appreciative of all that we did to make it happen.
 The Committee...Me, Emily and Amy
 These 3 being nutty.
 And then there were 2.

Just having a great time with friends.
