We enjoyed Trent's first day of fall break at Disneyland and California Adventure. Trent was so excited to get to the park and go on Star Tours. He had never been on the ride and always said when he was 6 years he would go on it. Well, when he turned 6 years old the ride was closed down for remodeling, so he didn't get to go on it. So, today would be the day that Trent would get to go on Star Tours. The other exciting thing about the day was our good friends Kelly and Connor were going to join us.
Trent and I were up early and headed to Disneyland. We got there before the park opened and were excited for the day.
Waiting for the tram to take us to the park.
On the tram.
We got in the park and headed directly to Star Tours. The wait time was only 10 minutes and Trent was smiling from ear to ear.
So excited!

Me with the boys.
Kelly and the boys.
I am pretty sure Star Tours exceeded all of Trent's expectations. He was so happy that Darth Vader was on the ride and even happier that he brought along his orange pistol to shoot the bad guys. From Star Tours the boys went on the Astro Rockets. Trent and Connor were old enough and tall enough to go on a rocket by themselves. Oh my! I was a bit nervous.
Ready to ride in the rocket!
High in the sky!
Still smiling at the end of the ride.
From the Astro Rockets we went to the Astro Blasters. Trent and Connor had fun blasting Zurg and the bad guys.
After we had fun shooting Zurg we headed to Matterhorn and then on to Small World. I love Small World when it is decorated for Christmas and it's a nice relaxing ride.
Trent is armed and ready with his orange pistol.
Goofy and Goofier.
After Small World we took a lunch break and then went to see Santa.
BOYS!
Before Santa the boys took a picture with Pluto and Mrs. Claus.
Trent didn't tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas because it wasn't December yet. Silly boy!
Santa's Reindeer's hanging out.
After visiting with Santa we headed to the Haunted Mansion, which is another fun ride to go on during Christmas time. After the Haunted Mansion we took the train around the park and made our way to the main entrance. Kelly and Connor were leaving early, so we decided that we should head over to CA Adventure and go on a few rides before they had to leave. Of course, we headed straight to Soarin' over California and then the boys took a swing on the tire swing.
Kelly and Connor had time for one more ride so we went on the new Goofy's Flight School ride, which was so much fun. It was so much fun we went on the ride three times. After the third spin on the ride we said good bye to Kelly and Connor and Trent and I headed to a ride we had never been on before...the Ferris Wheel. We chose the non-swinging cages because Trent and I didn't want to get sick. Once we got into the cage Trent was having second thoughts because of how high the Ferris Wheel goes, but we decided we could do it.
We were going higher.
And then we were at the highest point and Trent was all smiles.
The Ferris Wheel was fun and we were glad we did it. Next up was Toy Story Mania, which is usually a 45 minute wait and it was only about a 25 minute wait. Toy Story Mania is one of my favorite rides and Trent and I had fun playing the virtual carnival games. All that playing made us hungry so we had some dinner and then went on more rides. We went over to Bug's Land and went on the train and bumper cars.
We headed out of Bug's Land and I couldn't convince Trent to go on the Tower of Terror...maybe next time. It was getting close to closing time so we went on Monsters, Inc. and then headed to the tram and then on home.
I had another fun day with my boy at the happiest place on earth.
