Trent turns 8!

Trent turning 8 is as hard for me to believe as me turning 36 the day after Trent's birthday. 8 sounds so old and so does 36, but we have no choice we must have a birthday.
The weekend before Trent's birthday Tim took Trent shopping for a new bike. They went to several bike shops and finally made the decision to buy a cool black matte finish Trek bike. It is a really sharp looking bike.
Tim and Trent going for a little ride. To say I am nervous while they are out on their ride would be an understatement. I am a wreck and just can't wait for them to get home.
All smiles on his new bike.
Trent started off his birthday by getting up just minutes before 6:44 a.m., which is the time he was born 8 years prior. Grandma Cindy dropped off a present at the front door for him to open in the morning and we let him open another present.
Trent opening the present from Grandma Cindy and Papa.
Trent got the Lego Star Wars Malevolence set, which has 1,101 pieces.
That should be fun to put together.
 Thanks Grandma and Papa!
Tim checking out the set and probably thinking this is going to be fun to put together...
Trent opening a gift from me and Tim.
Trent excited about the Pokemon Wii game.
After opening presents and breakfast Trent went off to soccer camp until noon. He was excited to go to school on his birthday. He was certain his friends would wish him a happy birthday and, of course, they did and he was thrilled.
 Happy 8th Birthday Trent!
After school we headed to Dave & Buster's to meet Uncle Todd, Jake and Justin for lunch and to play some games.
Trent and Jake had a great time playing games and going on the simulated roller coaster ride.
Good times!
Trent and Jake each won over 1,100 tickets and came away with some fun prizes. It was a fun way to celebrate Trent's birthday with Todd, Justin and Jake.
In the afternoon Trent opened some more birthday presents.
Trent opening his birthday card from Grandpa Wayne and Grandma Jennifer.

Yay! Birthday money! More Wii games.
Trent excited about the Ninjago Raptercopter from the Sentlingers.

A Red Sox shirt from our friends in Boston. Trent said he will wear the shirt, but he is still a Dodger fan.
Trent happy as a clam with his new Pokemon Wii game.
In the evening we had the Reimers' Clan over to celebrate Trent's birthday.
Trent had a Phineas and Ferb themed party.
 Present time!
Trent was insistent that we wear party hats.
Trent reading a funny card from Uncle Jeff, Auntie, Zach and Madison...something about Ape Sheet!
 Cool Ninjago Lego Set.
Giving Uncle Scott and Aunt Fiona a big thank you hug.
 Auntie got a hug too!
 And Papa!
I am pretty sure Trent was excited about this Ninjago Lego set.
Trent's Phineas and Ferb Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream cake.
Happy Birthday to Trent!
Trent trying to blow out those trick candles that he had to get. He had fun trying to blow them out.
Even though I can't believe Trent is 8 years old and I wish he would stay young forever, I am truly enjoying watching him grow up to a big boy.  We love you Trent!
