Spring Break Fun!

Trent's spring break seemed to take forever to get to.  Since Easter was later this year, that meant his spring break was late too.  We were both looking forward to having some down time and doing some fun things.
Trent has picked up a few character traits from me and one of them is planning.  He has to have a plan, go over the plan again and again and then execute the plan (hopefully flawlessly).  For about a week prior to spring break Trent would ask me what we were doing on each day of break.  He had a few things he wanted to accomplish.  Chuck E Cheese was a must and that would happen on Monday.  Tuesday we had some errands to run and he had piano lessons.  Wednesday the three of us were going to Disneyland.  Thursday we were going to the Skirball Museum to see the Noah Ark's exhibit and Friday we had to do more errands, but we would fit in some fun.  So that was the plan and I knew Trent would hold me to it.
We celebrated the start of spring break on Friday with going to see the movie Rio, which was so good.  Then we had a fun weekend celebrating Easter.  On Monday, we did go to Chuck E Cheese and his cousin Jake joined us.  Trent and Jake had so much fun playing the games and trying to win lots of tickets.  On Tuesday, as planned we did some errands and then piano lessons.  We had dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant. That was the night I pulled out Trent's tooth.  On Wednesday, we got to Disneyland early and had a great day.
All smiles on the Winnie the Pooh ride.
Waiting to go on Pirates of the Caribbean.
Big Thunder Mountain.  Trent did not want to go on this ride, but we convinced him he would have fun and we ended up going on it twice.
We knew he would like it!
 Love Tim's excitement!
Slowing the pace down and taking a ride on the Jungle Cruise.
All smiles on the Matterhorn.  Trent was yelling for it to go faster.  He went on this roller coaster twice.  It was a fun day on the roller coasters.
Taking a break for some ice cream and of course some pictures.
Later in the day we made our way over to CA Adventure.  Soarin' over California and Toy Story Mania are always a must, so we went on those rides.
Trent had a great time on the zip line.
Trent actually suggested that I take a few pictures of him
and best of all he smiled!
Trent giving me his famous bunny ears.
The next excursion on our agenda was going to the Skirball Museum where they have a Noah's Ark interactive exhibit.  We went with some friends from school and the kids had a great time playing inside the Ark.
Sending the animals up into the Ark.
Running around in the garden and through the mist.
 The gang having fun!
We had a great week and I am so happy Tim was able to join us at Disneyland.  That was definitely a treat!  Trent only has six more weeks of school, which I am sure are going to go by so fast.  I am still in disbelief that he will be in 2nd grade in September.  Time please slow down!

Another tooth gone!

Trent's other top tooth finally came out.  This one was more snaggle looking than the other one.  It actually looked like it was in the center of his mouth instead of to one side.  It was so funny looking.
Trent does not like to be called snaggle tooth, so he was happy to have me pull it out.  At dinner one night he had bitten into a corn dog, which loosened the tooth up and with one pull it came right out.
I love his new look! And he loves not being called snaggle tooth!  A win win situation for all.

Easter

We had a fun filled weekend, which included two egg hunts, a piñata, and hanging out with our friends and family.  We began the weekend with the annual egg hunt at church.  Trent had a lot of fun searching for the golden egg.  He didn't get it and he was a bit upset, but overall he had fun.  We then spent the rest of the day getting the yard and house ready to host our friends and family for Easter.
Hunting for eggs.
Excited that he found a few.
 Where to next?
Easter morning came and the Easter bunny left Trent some cool goodies. Trent really wanted a pillow pet, which the Easter bunny had heard about. Trent was so excited to get the pillow pet; he named the dog Rufus.  The Easter bunny also left Trent a few books, a DS game and two Star Wars shirts.
Trent so excited to see what the Easter bunny left him.
 AAAHHH the pillow pet!
We got dressed in our Easter best and made our way to service.
These two can rarely give me a cute smile.
After church service we hurried home to get ready to host our friends and family.

We had a great time eating yummy food and visiting with everyone. Tim made pulled pork, which was a big hit. My Mom made some great red velvet cupcakes and carrot cupcakes.  My Aunt made delicious appetizers, which is her specialty.  All in all we had great food.  Trent had a great time playing all day with his cousins and friends.  He was so tired from the day, that he didn't wake up until 9:15 the next morning.
The older kids hid the eggs for the younger kids to find.  There were so many eggs and the kids had fun finding them all.
The kids ready to go hunt for eggs.

There were eggs hidden all over Tim's car.
After the egg hunt came the piñata.
Trent had a unique way of hitting the piñata or rather stabbing the piñata.  He finally figured out that stabbing the piñata wasn't the way to go so he started hitting it.
 Finally the candy!
We had a great time celebrating Easter.
