Intrasquad Meet

Trent had another swim meet two weeks ago and did a great job. The meet was on Saturday morning and Trent had to be there at 7:00 a.m. for warm-up...it was quite early. Terra and I got there around 7:45 a.m. when the meet started.
The pool was packed for warm-up.

Terra needing some morning coffee too.
Trent swam 2 events (supposed to swim 3, but my mistake and we missed the 50 meters Butterfly) and bettered his time in both events. In the 50 meters Freestyle his time was 54.88, which was 6 seconds faster than at the meet in April. In the 50 meters Backstroke (which I think is his best stroke) his time was 59.80, which was 2 seconds faster than before. We were so proud of him for swimming fast and dropping time. He has another swim meet next weekend, let's hope he drops some more time.

Disneyland

At the end of May, we played hookie from school and went to Disneyland.  It had been about a year since our last visit, which is crazy for us since we used to go all the time. Trent was excited to take a day off school and I was excited for Terra's first visit to Disneyland. We went with Jeff, April, Zachary, Madison and Cindy, which was fun.
Uncle Jeff and Terra on the tram ride into the park.
My cutie!
Terra was sleeping not too long after we got into the park.
We started in CA Adventure and got there before it opened. Our first stop was Cars Land. We got there early and only had to wait 45 minutes to go on the new cars ride. It was well worth the wait, the ride is AWESOME!
The scenery around the track on the cars ride.
 The track is so cool.
Love this picture!
The Flying Tires ride...not as fun as the Cars ride.

After CA Adventure we headed over to Disneyland and Terra got into her cute Cinderella dress.
Looking so cute with the Minnie ears.

Trent had to have these aviators...
And we all had to try them on.

Not really sure what to say about this...
Terra loves Zachary. He is always making her laugh.
We had a great day! Can't wait to go back!

Seattle...Going Home.

We were up early and off to the light rail station to head back to the airport. It was a relaxing ride to the airport and everything went smoothly on our trip home. We had a stop in Oakland where Trent got to go inside the cockpit. He was so excited.
Notice no shoes on...since the stop in Oakland wasn't a plane change for us he had taken off his shoes for the flights.
 Turning on some controls.
 Putting on the mask.
So, we thought the trip home was without incident...Tim left his iPad on the plane when we got off in Ontario. Thankfully, he was able to recover it and it didn't take too long. We were so worried about Trent leaving something, that we overlooked our stuff...typical...kids!
All in all we had a great trip. Seattle was all I hoped it would be. My Dad had a great time. Through out the whole trip I felt that someone was missing, and, of course, that was my Mom. She would have loved this trip and I know that she was looking down on us smiling and happy that Dad came with us on the adventure.

Seattle...Day Three

We started the day with another good breakfast and then headed out in the Seattle drizzly. Our plan for the day was to walk down to Pike's Market, take a ferry across to Bainbridge Island, go on the Giant Ferris Wheel and then whatever else we had time to do.
Terra ready for the drizzle.
 A damp morning.
Staying out of the rain while we wait for the light to turn green.
 Pike's Market.
We got to see them throw the fish, but didn't get a picture of it.
Trent was so sad to see that someone lost their doggy. Trent has this same doggy and knows how special it is to him. Trent talked about the lost dog for awhile and all the different scenarios of how it got lost and hopefully found.
Fresh veggies.
 It was crowded.
 Fresh flowers.
 The first Starbucks!
We didn't get a cup of coffee because the line was at least 50-75 people long...oh well.
 A glimpse inside.
 Walking to the ferry.
 The Giant Ferris Wheel.
 The Fire Dept. rescue boats.
Terra looking forward to going on the ferry or happy that she just ate.
 Leaving the Seattle drizzle behind.
 Relaxing on the ferry.
It was a bit chilly on the deck.
 Bainbridge Island.
The ferry ride over to Bainbridge Island was about 45 minutes. We walked into town and found a nice sandwich shop to eat at for lunch and then a bakery for cookies. Of course, I found a place to shop for baby clothes. There wasn't much more to see in the town, so we headed back over to Seattle.
 Trent the paparazzi.
Terra just chillin' while I shopped.
A little snake in the flowers on our walk back to the ferry.
 My nutty boy Trent.
Trent trying to fit on my lap.
The sun finally came out on the island just as we were leaving.
While we waited for the ferry to board Tim took some cute pictures of Terra.
 Love that face!
 Beautiful!
 Seattle
After the ferry we walked along the boardwalk to the Giant Ferris Wheel. Tim and Trent were the brave ones...and lucky ones. They got to the front of the 45 minute line because they were looking for groups of two.
 Cutie pie with freckles.
One of my favorite pictures of my boys!
After the ferris wheel we walked to dinner at The Pike Brewing Company. It was a causal place with pretty good food, just what we needed.  Tim had the beer sampler and of course enjoyed that.
Tim, Trent and Terra made the uphill walk back to the hotel, while my Dad and I got a cab back.  Tim got Trent a little something to give him a sugar rush, so he could make it back to the hotel. It worked and they made it. They dropped Terra off with me and then went in search for the first REI. They found it, but it was closing, so they didn't get to stay long.
We ended another great day in Seattle with backing up for the trip home the next morning.  Off to bed early because it was going to be an early morning.
