Kansas

The last time we were in Kansas was three years ago for Eric and Jenni's wedding. This visit to Kansas was to meet their new baby girl Keelin who was born on April 27th. We were so excited to see Eric and Jenni and, of course, to meet and cuddle with Keelin.
At LAX for our 6:10 a.m flight to Kansas City.
We arrived into Kansas around lunch time, so of course our first stop was Oklahoma Joe's for some yummy bbq. Oklahoma Joe's did not disappoint, it was so good. Next stop, was the Johnson's and I was excited to see their new house. They live in a quiet tree-lined neighborhood and have a beautiful home with lots of room. I walked into the house and could not get to Keelin fast enough. She is so cute and such a good baby.
Trent holding Keelin and crazy me trying to make her smile.
Trent holding a #1 because it was Keelin's one month birthday on May 27th.
 Tim's turn to hold Keelin.
We had a little surprise in store for Trent...we were staying at the Great Wolf Lodge, which has an indoor water park. Tim and I were so excited to see Trent's face when he walked into the water park. His surprised face did not disappoint.
YAY!!!
 Taking it all in.
It was just a little humid in there.
There were 3 big water slides that you took rafts down.
Each slide went outside and each had a unique twist to them.
Standing in line for the slide.
Trent giving the water park a thumbs up.
 Having so much fun!
Trent could play in this play structure for hours. He loved all the water boobie traps...dumping water on people was a highlight for both Tim and Trent.
Off the play structure were two individual water slides.
Tim having fun too! A kid at heart!
Trent the fish.
The giant water bucket dropped about 50,000 gallons of water every few minutes. Trent loved it!
 One happy kid!
We were in Kansas for four days and to maximize our time with the Johnson's and the water park, we would spend a few hours in the morning at the water park, then head to the Johnson's to spend the rest of the day with them and then after dinner head back to the Great Wolf Lodge to spend about an hour in the water park.
Twice during our stay we visited the country club that Eric and Jenni belong to. Trent had so much fun playing in the pool and a bonus was the diving board.
Cannon Ball!!
Tim taking his turn on the diving board.
 Having a treat! Tough life!
Keelin sleeping through all the excitement.
 Bunny ears for Keelin.
 Precious!
Waiting for our flight home, which turned out to be delayed by 5 hours...
not fun!
Despite the delayed flight on the way home, we had a fantastic time in Kansas and can't wait to go back.
