Fun Day at the Aquarium

On Saturday with Tim still in Kansas, I loaded up the car with Trent, Terra and Jake and we headed down to Long Beach to spend the day at the aquarium. Cindy was baby sitting Zinnia, so they came along with us for the adventure.
Jake spent the night and these two had a good evening watching The Croods and playing Minecraft.
The adventure begins...they all look so excited.
 There's some excitement.
 Chillin'
 Smiling with the pacifier in.
Hammerhead shark just waiting to be pet.
 Trent petting the sharks.
 One huge stingray.
Love this boy and his freckles.
 Cutie pie
Feeding the Lorikeets. Trent was really into feeding the birds, Jake not so much (I don't blame him)!
Jake not sure what to make of all of this.
A Lorikeet getting too close for comfort. The bird got even closer and was on Zinnia's sleeve.
 Penguins
 Enjoying the view.
 Pacifier girls.
 Jellyfish
 The belly of the stingray.
A shark egg that will hatch in March. You could see the baby shark moving around inside the embryo.
A scuba diver feeding the fish.
The weirdest looking creatures.

Everyone needs a mask made at the aquarium.
 Watching the sea lions.
Enjoying a beautiful day in Long Beach complete with rolling down the hill.
 Queen Mary
My passengers for the day.
We had a great day at the aquarium.

Our Little Bruiser

On Saturday evening, Terra had her first big fall and got a little banged up. She is so tough and it hasn't kept her down. I have a feeling this is just the first of many scrapes and bruises Terra will get.
All smiles as she gets washed up.

George Strait Concert

For Christmas Trent got tickets to go see George Strait. This is supposedly George's last tour (he has been touring for over 30 years). Trent doesn't know too many of George's songs, but was obsessed that it is his last tour and that he must see him. I love George Strait and was more than happy to get tickets. Martina McBride opened for George and she turned about to be great. I am not a huge fan of her, but I was singing along to all her songs.
Everything fell into place as soon as we got to the Staples Center. We got great parking, then the entrance we went into was very close to our seats, we got dinner rather quickly and then to our seats, which were great.
Trent saw this and had to stop and take a picture with George.
George Strait...The Cowboy Rides Away Tour
So happy to be at the concert with our cowboy.
 Silly...
 Love this picture.
 Cuties.
Martina McBride
Trent loved the music.
The Man of the Hour
Martina came out and sang two songs with George Strait.  It was great!
We had a great night singing along to some great country music.

Swim Meet

Tim and Trent got to the pool on a very early and cold Saturday morning for Trent's first swim meet with the Bronze group. Trent was a bit nervous, but was excited to swim fast.
7:00 a.m. warm-up on a chilly Saturday morning.
Terra and I got there a little bit later, but it was still cold.
Trent swam 100 IM, 50 Butterfly and 50 Freestyle. The only event he had swam before was the 50 Free and he took 3.5 seconds off his time. He did great in all three events. His strokes have improved so much and so has his competitiveness. Tim and I are so excited for Trent and all his improvements. We can't wait to see what his does at his next swim meet.

Exploring and Discovery New Things

Terra is loving being able to walk around...FREEDOM! She loves walking around the neighborhood. I always bring her car and she starts out riding in it, but within minutes she is walking beside it or pushing it. I love that I captured this moment when she discovered a dandelion. She loves touching them.
I am going to get you!
 Discover...
Touching a dandelion for the first time...priceless.
 Touch...
And then like most things it goes into her mouth. I hope the stage of everything going into Terra's mouth ends soon, very soon.
While Trent is swimming we went to play at the Pirate Park behind the swim complex.
She is my cute little dinosaur roaming (and sometimes roaring) around. Thank you Jen for this adorable one of a kind sweatshirt.
I am outta here!
If we don't go to the Pirate Park, we go to Kidspace. So much fun!
And then there are these rare times when she falls asleep on the way to swim practice and I get to relax in the car for just a little bit.
