Terra's Christmas Program Debut

Tim and I did not have high hopes that Terra would get up on the stage and if she did, she wouldn't stay for long. Her class was only singing one song, Mickey's version of Jingle Bells.  Well, she surprised us by staying up on stage and really just wanted to be up there all by herself. She didn't need me to hold her...she is an independent girl that's for sure.
 Waiting "patiently" for her turn.
It's showtime! She let me hold her for all of a few seconds. Zinnia on the other hand was very content in her Daddy's arms.
Terra pointing to where she wanted to be.
And here is where she stayed the rest of the time.
I did try again to hold her and of course she was having none of that.
 Cousins.
Santa Claus arrived to pass out presents and reminded the children to be good.
She loves her light up mouse ears.
Santa even brought Trent a gift...Diary of the Wimpy Kid.
 Oh there's that pose.
I didn't even attempt to take the off the blinking ears.

Princess Terra

Terra's latest obsession is wearing her Princess heels everywhere we go. I have surprised myself with how lenient I have been about letting her wear her heels places. I think I let her because her face lights up when she sees the shoes and she is so cute stomping around in them.
Our short walk from the car to Trader Joe's.

Terra finally grew out of her porta crib and she is now in a regular size crib where she has tons of room. So far she hasn't tried to climb out of it.

Thanksgiving

While most of the country was feet deep in snow, our Thanksgiving was a warm one. We enjoyed a yummy breakfast made by Todd and then went over to Tim's parents house where they had a house full of people. The kids played in the jacuzzi and had a great time.
My cuties.
Terra has taken to doing this silly pose when taking a picture.
Terra loves finding a dandelion. She hasn't figured out how to blow the feathers off...that's where Trent is always willing to help out.
Big brother to the rescue.
On Friday, we took a nice family ride around the Santa Fe Dam. It was getting close to dusk, but it was so nice to be out in the fresh air exercising. This day was the two year anniversary of my Mom's passing...if Todd and I had it our way we probably would have just stayed home and not talked to anyone...but this was a much better way to remember our Mom.
Terra loved telling Daddy Go Go.
Trent and Jake
The sun was quickly disappearing.
On Saturday, we headed up to Arrowhead. We shopped around at the village and enjoyed the chilly weather.
He loves his Daddy.
Such a serious little girl.
Trent enjoyed racing a go cart around the track. He was hesitate at first, but then he found his groove and loved speeding around the corners.
This boy loves carnival rides. It didn't matter that he was the only one on the ride, he had a great time.
Playing around on the playset.
Zinnia taking it all in.
My cool boy.
This sums up the four day weekend...long and tiring...with some fun thrown in.
