Another photo shoot of Terra

Terra had another fun photo shoot with Carie last week. The theme of this shoot was tutu's and the more frilly the outfit the better. Terra did so well during the shoot and saved the fuss for the end. Carie took some great pictures and I am really happy with how they turned out.
My Aunt and cousin got Terra this fun outfit.
Lots of ruffles on the bottom.
My friend Jenna made this adorable pink tutu and blinged out onesie.
 I love these toes...nibble nibble.
The blue tutu goes great with Terra's blue eyes.
My friend Stephanie got Terra this blue tutu and the Made in California onesie.  So fun!

Terra is 4 months old

Today, Terra is 4 months old.  In the past month, she has grown so much. I feel like she has doubled her weight from birth, which I found out today she has.  She weighed in at 14 lbs and 25" long. She is in the 80% tile in height and in the middle for weight.
As of last Saturday, Terra has graduated from the cradle to the crib. She is now free from the swaddle because she can roll over in the swaddle and I think that is a little dangerous.  So, she is putting herself to sleep just fine without the swaddle...well at least for this week.
Terra sleeping soundly in the crib.
Thankfully my friend Kelly saved this musical aquarium.  Her three kids used it and now Terra is using it. Trent had one, but the water evaporated after being stored for so long. Trent loved his aquarium and it provided hours of entertainment for him as I am sure it will for Terra.
Terra now consistently rolls over from her back to her front. She hasn't quite figured out how to roll back over to her back. She can roll from front to back on our bed, but not anywhere else.

Here is Terra rolling over.
Terra is such a happy girl. She is still smiling big, giggling and chatting away. She can be serious too, which is cute. She still loves hearing Trent's voice and seeing him act silly for her, which is does often.
The many different faces of Terra.
Terra's smile.
Love this face...nutty girl.
 My favorite...happy Terra.

60

My Mom would have turned 60 years old on Friday, March 15th. Trent had the day off from school on Friday, so we made banana bread, which is something my Mom made all the time and Trent loved. After my Mom passed away Trent really wanted to make banana bread, but I just wasn't ready to make it...it was too soon. He said that Grandma's banana bread was so good because she put extra love in it...very true. I was nervous about making the banana bread. I don't bake, so I wasn't sure how it would turn out. Trent helped me make it from scratch and it turned out pretty good. Tim said, he was surprised at how good it was (I was too.) Trent was so happy that we made it and is already asking when we can make more.
We went out to dinner that evening with my brother and his family. My Dad wasn't able to make it down from Tehachapi because my Grandpa was sick. We had a nice dinner and then came back to our house for some pralines and cream ice cream cake (my Mom's favorite ice cream.)  Trent and Jake blew out the candles for Grandma.
To say I miss my Mom would be an understatement that's for sure. Words can not express how much I miss her and wish she could have celebrated her 60th birthday with us.

Random Pictures of my Cuties!

Just some random pictures...
Trent loves his little sis.  He was sick last week and he hated that he couldn't hold Terra.
He is such a good big brother.
 Love her boots!
She likes tummy time now that she can grab at her toys.
Just relaxing with my little girl.

Big Blue Eyes!

Tim got these adorable pictures of Terra last weekend. We ventured to the mall last Saturday night with April, Madison and Cindy to have dinner and do some shopping. We had quite an experience at Forever 21...the place is huge with bright lights, loud music and a lot of clothes. I don't think Terra blinked the whole time we were there. Her eyes were wide open and she looked a bit scared at times.
 Love her smile!

Good Friends and Awesome Kids!

Over Presidents Day weekend our friends Eric, Jenni and their 10 month old daughter Keelin left the chilly temperatures in Kansas and headed west to California for a few days. We met Keelin when she was 1 month old and boy had she changed since we last saw her. She was crawling, laughing, clapping, smiling and just having fun in the warm California weather.
On Friday, we headed out to Oxnard for the day. The weather was in the mid to high 70's, which is rare in Oxnard, but what wasn't rare was the wind, it was blowing hard. We took the Johnson's to the beach, so Keelin could see the beautiful Pacific Ocean. It was pretty, but way too windy. Keelin wasn't a big fan of the sand or the chilly water, I don't blame her.

 What a cutie!
Feeling the sand between her toes...not a big fan.
 Beautiful day!

After the beach the boys took the kayaks out for a cruise around the harbor.
Trent enjoying a root beer as they cruise along.
I don't think he helps Tim paddle, he is just along for the ride.
After spending the day in Oxnard we headed home to meet up with the Sentlinger's, who had made the long drive down from San Francisco. We met them at The Boat for dinner. It was so great to see all of them. Trent was excited to see Luca and I was excited to see Sam and Matteo. It had been just a few months since we had last seen them, but boy have they grown. They are little men and so fun to watch run around.
On Saturday, we spent part of the day at KidSpace, which was a lot of fun. Trent and Luca had a great time exploring the grounds.  Keelin, Sam and Matteo had fun in the toddler area and Terra slept the whole time.

From KidSpace we had a yummy lunch at Big Daddy's, then swimming at the hotel where our friends were staying and then a backyard bbq at our house in the evening. It was a great day.
We headed to the race track on Sunday. The adults got to drink and place bets, while the kids had fun at the playground in the infield. Fun for everyone.

 Where's Terra?
It was a beautiful day at the race track. We could not have asked for better weather. The Sentlinger's headed home in the late afternoon on Sunday.  The Johnson's headed home in the morning on Monday. It was a great weekend and even though we all live far apart, I am so glad we have remained such good friends and now our kids can build a friendships.
