4th Grade Comes to an End

The last week of 4th grade was full of fun. On Tuesday, the 4th-6th graders went to Lacy Park for Field Day. The PE teachers organize games for the kids for the day. They had lunch on the grass and just enjoyed playing with their friends for the day.
On Wednesday, we attended the End of Year Awards Assembly and Trent was presented with the Academic Excellence Medal. To receive the medal he had to receive the Responsibility, Bible Memory and Citizenship awards for all 4 quarters. We are so proud of Trent and how well he does in school. He loves learning and thrives at school.

He is so proud of himself and we are so proud of him!!
Thursday was the last day of school. There was a water slide and plenty of games for the kids to play. Terra and I stayed for a bit and all the kids were having so much fun.
He loves his little sister.
Trent and his teacher Miss Free. Trent had a great year and matured in so many ways. His writing came a long way and we were worried in the beginning of the year, but Miss Free told us don't worry it will click and it did. Trent got a 94 on his writing final, wow! We could not have asked for a better teacher for Trent.
Head first and that water was cold!
Last day of being a 4th grader.  5th grade here we come!

A little bitty pool, a big smile and some singing.

I bought Terra a Sofia the First pool to splash around in, but it seems Trent had more fun in it than her, which doesn't really surprise me. He has a knack for having fun anywhere, with anything at anytime.
Trent trying not to look like he is having fun.
And then there's this one...I call her the roamer...she roams from thing to thing.
Terra watching Trent probably thinking what we are thinking...what a nutball.
Trent washing Terra's car while she is in it, she wasn't all that thrilled.
 Girl on a mission.
This was earlier in the day.  It's rare to get a picture of her smiling.
A cute video of Terra singing and of course Trent helping out.

What a Fun Memorial Day Weekend!

We started the weekend off by going to Oxnard for the day on Saturday. We brought Jake along for the fun. After lunch and frozen yogurt Tim took the boys fishing off the dock.  Jake had never been fishing and he was their lucky charm, he caught the most fish. He didn't want to hold all of them, so Trent helped him out with that. After fishing, they went swimming and had a great time. These two always have fun together.

Trent holding one of Jake's fish.
Another fish.
Wow, that's a big one.
As for Terra, she didn't have a great time. She wasn't feeling too great and ended up coming down with croup.

On Sunday, Tim and Trent joined the Tiche's at Medieval Times. They headed down to the OC after church and met the Tiche's at their hotel for some lunch and swimming.
 Trent and Erin, such cuties!
 Nutballs!
They were cheering on the Blue Team...they got 3rd place.
The fun continued on Monday when we headed out to Castaic for a day on the pontoon boat.
The lake is much lower than last year.

Terra enjoyed being in her intertube floating around.
Do you see those two small dots...that's Trent and Jake swimming around.
Todd cooling off.
And then there was naptime.
Terra slept like that for about an hour.
Intertube time! These two love the intertube and are counting down the minutes until it's time.
In a year, Trent has gained some confidence and became a bit of a daredevil on the intertube.
 One hand.
 Woohoo no hands!!
If only this shot was in focus.
Here's a video of Trent doing his tricks.
Tim and Trent...they had some tricks of their own.
 Nutty!
Cute picture of Jake and Ashley.
 Having so much fun!
Cutie pie!
It was a great holiday weekend. We are so lucky to be able to head out to Oxnard for the day and spend time with family, then enjoy another day with friends and finally head out to the lake and have fun with family.
